The Friday Night Home Group meets the first and third Friday of each month. For the month of September, this group will meet the second and fourth Friday of the month. A Life Home Group involves time for Bible study, prayer, worship, food and getting to know each other.
Currently meeting at the church at 1204 E. Oak Street in Mahomet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Gilbert Bilezikian, in his book, Community 101, writes: “It is in small groups that people can get close enough to know each other, to care and share, to challenge and support, to confide and confess, to forgive and be forgiven, to laugh and weep together, to be accountable to each other, to watch over each other and to grow together. Personal growth does not happen in isolation. It is the result of interactive relationships. Small groups are God’s gift to foster changes in character and spiritual growth.”
Our community has discovered that our faith develops and grows best in small groups. They can provide friendships, pastoral care and personal growth in an environment of mercy and grace.
